Hobbs has also been showing a bit and has had very stiff competition with much older dogs, but he has some nice reserve winners and has a few group placements in matches and puppy groups! Way to go Hobbs!
Four of the puppies will be showing in Pinehurst this weekend to get some practice showing on grass - right now, they think grass is for playing and chasing bugs - or in River and Hobbs' cases, they like to rip up grass and throw it. So, we need some practice showing on a grass surface, as they will be showing at the National Specialty in Clemmons, NC next month! So, I will have my hands full - showing River, Jasper, and Logan. Melissa will be showing Hobbs. It will be the "battle" of the puppies! River thinks "girls rule and boys drool" - so we'll see how that plays out.
In other news, I have a breeding planned for Oakley - breeding to take place in December. If the breeding takes, I will post details and pictures of the stud dog, who is lovely and is going to be a great match for Oakley. Keep your fingers crossed!
