Every one of the puppies is very big and very active. Birth weights were between 21 oz and 25 oz - good sized puppies and very consistent. All of the puppies have good markings without too much white on their faces.
Oakley took a while to get started and then took a few breaks along the way, but she had them all with no problems. I hoped for a handful of boys, and I got them! The first five were boys - #4 is a blue boy. For those not familiar with the blue Swissys, they are a dilute version of the black tricolor. It's a recessive gene, and they come out a beautiful grey color. This big boy is a riot - he is really strong and has already learned how to escape the scale basket - almost like an agility tunnel! He's so pretty - a steel grey color now, but he will probably get a little lighter as he ages. Since being a color anything other than black tri is a disqualification for showing in AKC conformation, this boy is going to be a really nice pet for a great, active family. To keep from confusing him with the boy with the blue collar, I'm calling him "Blue Steel" from Zoolander - helps keep the confusion from being exhausted to a minimum - which Melissa and I found out after a short round of "you've already weighed blue. No, I haven't. Yes, you have." - Our own version of "Who's On First."
Below are some pictures, but I will post lots of pictures after we all get some much needed rest.
