Her appetite is a bit decreased, which is another sign of things moving along. She's still very happy to eat vanilla yogurt whenever it's offerred, however. She had a special treat of macaroni and cheese on her kibble this morning and was more than happy to slurp that down, too. But, she's eating less and less every day now.
The whelping box is all set up, the supplies have all been organized and sanitized, and towels have been washed. I have a couple pints of Haagan Dazs vanilla ice cream for her - ice cream is a great source of calcium and comfort during the whelping. Only the best for the Fabulous Miss O.
River is staying with Oakley's family while Oakley is here to have her puppies. I miss her terribly, but she's doing really well at their house. Daphne is with her breeder and co-owner for a couple months as well. She's been doing a good amount of winning in the midwest - even without her normal handlers. I miss her very much, too, but I know Oakley and the puppies are going to take all my attention. Grainger is still here at the house - he's the low maintenance Swissy of the pack, and Oakley doesn't mind having him around - she doesn't see him as a threat, and he certainly isn't. He'll still be separated from the puppy area just as an extra precaution.
Not much longer... I know you are all excited too! Thank you for all the well wishes and for your patience, as always!
