Oakley doesn't want food, water, ice cream, ice chips or anything - with the exception of PUMPKIN PIE. She's had two small slices today already - the girl has good taste, what can I say? May give her some water/pumpkin type of concoction later to keep her hydrated. Also have some chicken broth if needed.
In other news, Melissa called me this afternoon to give me more good news about Grainger... he and his dad earned their Novice Brace Draft Dog (NBDD) title together at Swissypalooza today. What a weekend for Grainger - four new titles: NDD, VGS, WWDX, and now NBDD. It's really special and means a lot to me that he got his brace title with his dad, Keygan - who is also the father of this litter. Well done father/son team! It says a lot about Grainger's working ability that he will work so well for both me and Melissa, and he's only practiced about 5-6 times as a brace team. I'm excited to see him tomorrow when Melissa comes to Raleigh to drop him off and (hopefully) see the puppies.
My vet is pretty sure she'll have puppies in the next 12-18 hours, so it's time to catch some zzzz's while I still can. Oakley has certainly mastered that skill - hope her snoring doesn't keep me up.
