River's doing great - she's happy, active, healthy, and sweet as ever. She's not showing much at all, so I'm preparing myself and all the potential puppy owners that she may either have reabsorbed her litter or she may only have a puppy or two in there. I'll know for sure on Monday (April 8th) how many, if any, puppies we can expect next weekend.
I could be wrong, as this is her first litter, and she's a very big, athletic girl. She could have a few puppies and could just not be showing much. I'll update the blog as soon as I know how many puppies are on the way.
My biggest concern, of course, is River's health. Just like her mother, I have kept her active and have kept the house as low-stress as possible, and we've taken lots of measures to keep outside germs and chemicals (including vaccines and flea/tick treatments) at a minimum.
If she's no longer pregnant or we don't get more than a couple puppies, I will likely breed her to Fury again in the fall.
Stay tuned... and keep your fingers crossed!
