Robert Redford movie litter (they are 21 months old now):
Hobbs (was black boy) - he lives in Aiken, GA, with his family, which includes his dad, Keygan. Hobbs earned his AKC championship back in February and just completed his CD (an obedience title) about two weeks ago. He's being shown as a special selectively and has already defeated two of the top dogs in the country - all well before he turns two years old. He's had a couple practice sessions with my boy Grainger for brace drafting, and we hope to enter them in the draft trial in Marietta in October as a brace team - and Hobbs as a single as well. He easily pulled enough weight to get two legs towards his working weight dog title in weight pull, and he'll pull for two more legs during the Atlanta shows in August.
River (was the only girl) - has been shown selectively after taking several months off due to a bout of anaphylaxis from swallowing a hornet. She won her classes in her first show back, and she just needs one more major to finish her AKC championship. She's still not back to 100%, so we may take the rest of the summer off to let her get back into shape. She's serving as the mentor for my puppy, Mischke, and she's very happy to have Daphne back with us for a while. Those two girls have so much fun together!
Jasper (was orange boy) - in four shows, he has three majors and 9/15 points he needs to finish his AKC championship. He's shown very selectively in the bred-by class, and he's making an impression on everyone he meets. He's a very big boy - about 135-140 pounds and not even two years old yet. I rarely see a Swissy with this much substance and bone. He's a lot of fun to show and very silly to live with. What a gentle giant! He and his owner live in Danville, VA and have started doing some hiking - with more to come as it cools off, I'm sure.
Logan (was blue boy) - Logan, who lives in Southern Pines, NC, will start his conformation showing career next month in Raleigh. Another gentle giant - he visited our place for several days and just fell in love with the puppies when they were still here. He's filling out and maturing nicely, and I'm looking forward to showing him soon.
Jake (was green boy) - Without many Swissys showing in northern California lately, Jake has made friends with three pigs that his human children have been raising for a 4-H project. From pictures of Jake, he looks awesome, and let's hope he'll be able to get to the show ring again soon.
Gus (was Waldo; the blue coat) - Gus, who lives in Washington, DC, welcomed a new member to his family - a (human) baby boy! I hope his parents will share pictures soon, and I hope Gus is being a good older brother.
Seinfeld One-Liners litter (they are now 21 weeks old):
Mischke (was purple girl) - she lives with us and is just as sweet as she can be. Even when her mouth is sore from teething, she's always available for a kiss or ten kisses. If all goes well, I'll take her to her first show the middle of September for a small, outdoor show in Pinehurst, NC. We're also working on some basic obedience and will be testing for her Canine Good Citizen test soon. We had a great visit with her brother Saxon (blue boy) a couple weeks ago.
Saxon (was blue boy) - Mr. Sax (as I call him) lives in Greenville, SC and was a very gracious host for our visit a couple weeks ago. River helped "educate" him about older dogs and learning his place. He and Mischke had a blast running around, and I'm hoping Mr. Sax and his owner will join us in Pinehurst next month for some practice and to learn all about showing. Saxon has come to demand his daily "shower" and likes to entertain himself with ice cubes on the kitchen floor - always good for a teething puppy.
Otto (was red boy) - he lives near Atlanta, GA with his best friend and dog sister, Petunia, who you'll see in the pictures below. As I suspected, he has a lovely head and expression and is very sweet with his family, but ohhhhh he loves to rile up his sister.
Dani (was pink girl) - she lives in Augusta, GA and gets to go to work every day with her owner, who is a dog trainer. Dani already knows many tricks and may be the obedience super star of the bunch down the road. She loves swimming at the lake with her "furry sister" - and has become quite the water baby!
Solo (was Newman) - he lives in Tennessee with his family, who takes him to work every day at their family flower shop! He's getting so big and handsome. He successfully completed his puppy obedience course, and his family is considering training him for drafting when he's old enough. I'm sure he would love that!
Loki (was hunter green boy) - he lives in the northern VA/DC area. He just had his first experience swimming, and seems to be a natural! He looks great from pictures and is still just a happy-go-lucky kind of pup!
Sven (was black boy) - he lives in Texas and just got to meet a bunch of other Swissys at a play date after the big shows in Houston. He's in the middle of his puppy obedience class and doing great! His owner takes the best pictures of him - you can tell he is one SERIOUSLY loved pup!
Vera (was RJ girl) - she lives in Grand Rapids, MI and has a big fan following up there and on Facebook! She is the apple of her owner's eye, and I truly think she enjoys posing for the camera. I'm trying to talk her owner into showing her a little bit. We'll see what happens!
Nellie (was teal girl) - Nellie lives in the northern VA/DC area and has been on some great family vacations this summer with the kids! I hope to get some new pictures and updates on her when the kids go back to school and life will be a lot less hectic in her house.
